The yearly Advent of Code event has commenced again. It’s a great way to tiptoe into programming or refresh some rusty skills by solving daily puzzles that get increasingly difficult. Typically, the first daily challenge is a breeze, but this time it is actually quite a challenging one straight off the bat. I wonder if that is because the organizers have increased the difficulty overall, knowing that it is now possible to solve low-level code problems easily using ChatGPT?

If you are in on the competition as well, give me a ping so we can brag about or reflect on our solutions. 😁
If you want to know more about the event, Slashdot has a nice article on it.
